    • Description-
    Unusual old Estate find early prototype/salesman sample/demonstrator model of a steam era freight car with hinged roof. Car may have been repainted no name anywhere on it, it is on Lionel signed tracks though that are approx. 2 1/4″ in between rails, the rubber bushings on the trucks are worn some are melted need replaced, may be missing little pieces, missing brass hitch pin on one side. Car measures 22 3/4″ long counting the hitch, 8″ tall and 5 1/2″ wide. Case is designed to open on front both sides and top lock in place so you can slide rail back to open roof, inside the car is all lined in real wood, locks and latches work. Neat piece definitely never see another like it.
